Dorothy And Billy Jack Rider

Funeral services for Dorothy (Isham) Rider, 83 and Billy Jack Rider, 87 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Dorothy was born on September 3, 1938 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Mary (Carroll) Isham and Jim Isham. Billy Jack was born on December 31, 1934 in Sallisaw, OK to Lorene (Wiley) Rider and Jay Carl Rider. They were married on April 6, 1957 in Sallisaw and passed away 1 hour and 20 minutes apart on January 29, 2022 in Roland, Oklahoma. Jack and Dorothy were lifelong residents of Sallisaw and dedicated members of Badger Lee Baptist Church. Mrs. Rider was a retired nurse. Mr. Rider was a social service supervisor and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Sallisaw Masonice Lodge 120 where he was 32nd Degree Mason and past Master, Scottish Rite. Jack and Dorothy were devoted parents and grandparents. As a result of their loving generous spirits and pleasant personalities they were loved by many. Dorothy loved reading her bible and teaching her grandkids to cook. Jack loved garage saleing and was always looking for his next bargain. There are no words to describe the love between them and the legacy they leave.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Debbie Rider and Jerry Phillips of Lavaca, AR;

1 son: Bill Rider and Kim of Sallisaw, OK;

4 Grandchildren: Danny Moulder, Jennifer Jackson, Kelsey Harwell and Lindsey Rider;

4 great grandchildren: Chance Jackson, Alanna Jackson, Jaidan Moulder and Aaron Moulder.

Dorothy is also survived by 1 brother: Jim Isham of Ft. Smith, AR and was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters: Opal Wooding, Marie Martin, Doris Hardin and Shirley Hardin and 1 brother: W.T. Isham.

Billy Jack is also survived by 1 brother: J.C. Rider of Ft. Smith, AR and was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother: Donald “Wolf” Rider.

Active Pallbearers for Dorothy will be Shawn Howard, Jerry Phillips, Chance Jackson, Danny Moulder, Bob Jamison and Bill Rider.

Active pallbearers for Billy Jack will be J.C. Rider, Keith Keener, John Stewart, Don Riggs, Joe Hardin and Bill Rider.

Viewing will be 1 – 6 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm.
