Dorothy Faye (Walters) Wilson

Graveside Service for Dorothy Faye (Walters) Wilson, 85 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 16, 1939 in Vian, Oklahoma to Okla Jewell Orena (Qualls) Walters and Columbus James Walters and entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Willard Wilson on October 2, 1957 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2015. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and home health provider and member of the West Side Church of Christ in Vian, Oklahoma. She was a proud soldier's wife while Willard served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. She raised three children while Willard served our Country and moved her family numerous times to where Willard was stationed next. After Willard's retirement, they returned home to Vian. They were Nanny and Pop to six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors are two daughters, Shawna Wilson-Moore of Vian, OK and Deborah Wilson-Taylor and Ted of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Charles Blaine Wilson and Shawna of Vian, OK; six grandchildren, Justin Wilson and Lauranda of Muldrow, OK, Andrew Moore and Cherie of Rogers, AR, Tyler Shane Moore and April of Rogers, AR, Tyler Allen Wilson and Tiffknee of Vian, OK, Desiree Skaggs and Daniel of Vian, OK and Michaela Ann Taylor of Sallisaw, OK; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Poteete of Vian, OK and Ruby Pigeon of Vian, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Patsy West and Brenda Stem and five brothers, James, Edward, Donald, Johnny and Melvin Walters.

Active Pallbearers will be Andrew Moore, Tyler Moore, Justin Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Daniel Skaggs and Donald Wayne Tramell.
