Funeral Service for Douglas Ray Allen, 78, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on March 16, 1942 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Minnie (Turner) Allen and Harvell David Allen and passed away on May 24, 2020 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Sharon (Kiser) Allen on November 8, 1974 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was a retired home builder and of the Baptist faith. He loved music, family, his community, dancing and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors are:

wife: Sharon of the home;

children: Tina Wheeler and Billy of Gans, OK, Shelly Thompson and Jerry of Arkoma, OK, Clay Allen of Sallisaw, OK, Scott Whitefield of Tulsa, OK, Kami Haje and John of Tulsa, OK and Monica Carbone and Peter of Boston, MA;

grandchildren: Crystal, Chaz, Colton, Justin, Heather, Melissa, T.J., Nicholas, Anna and Lucas;

14 great-grandchildren;

4 sisters: Velma Edwards of Nicut, OK, Kay Vanzandt of Muldrow, OK, Frances Wilson of Van Buren, AR and Jeannie Morton of Cedarville, AR;

3 brothers: Bernis Allen of Liberty, OK, Shannon Allen of Muldrow, OK and Eual Allen of Fayetteville, AR;

numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Lex and Mike Allen.

Active Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Friday.
