Graveside Service for Doyle Gene Bean, 81 of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on June 25, 1940 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Fern (Vanhuss) Bean and Lymond D. Bean and passed away on March 14, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Bettye Lou (Lively) Bean on June 7, 1975 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2018. Mr. Bean was an installer and repairman for Bell Telephone, a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Church of Christ. He loved traveling and the RV Life, shooting, camping, gaming and was a lover of science fiction.
Survivors are:
2 daughters: Danna Forrester and Jeff of Kingsport, TN and LaDonna Ford and Dr. David Ford of Van Buren, AR;
3 sons: Daniel Bean of Bennettsville, SC, David Bean and Deborah of Collinsville, OK and Bill Bean and Tammie of Broken Arrow, OK;
9 grandchildren: Jeremy Bean, Lauren Bean, Terri Wilson, Andrew Forrester, Brynna Meade, Sydney Ford, Cara Ford, Sean Bean and Ella Ford;
1 brother: Jon Bean of Florida;
Other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 3 sisters: Glenda, Rosemary and Donna and 2 brothers: Terry and Bob.
Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
