Dr. Tom Hollingsworth

Memorial Visitation for Dr. Tom Hollingsworth, 78, of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 4 – 6 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on June 30, 1943 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Marie (Donahue) Hollingsworth and Thomas Shelby Hollingsworth and passed away on August 16, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Sandi Hollingsworth on May 23, 1989 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. His career started as a Biology teacher and spanned to counselor, principal, superintendent, Coordinator for the State Department of Oklahoma, Director of Adult Education at Indian Captial Vo-Tech, and clinical therapist. He served as President of the Mental Health Counselors of Oklahoma and was voted as Counselor of the Year for Mental Health Association.

Survivors are:

Wife: Sandi Hollingsworth;

3 Daughters: Kelli and husband, Scott Nelmark, Chrystina Smart, and Stephanie Walker;

Son: Tommy Hollingsworth;

7 Granddaughters: Kati Nelmark, Stephanie Nelmark, Lily Walker, Isla Walker, Chloe Hale, Tabitha Hale, and Adelyn Hollingsworth;

3 Grandsons: Lucas Nelmark, Cade Hollingsworth, and Shelby Hollingsworth;

2 Great-Grandsons: Haedyn and Gabe;

Several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie (Donahue) Hollingsworth and Thomas Shelby Hollingsworth, Sr.
