Dudley Minor Sparkman was born September 1, 1958 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Gerald Sparkman and Mary (Hays) Sparkman Farrar. He passed this life on October 1, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Dudley was well known throughout Sequoyah County having been a business owner for many years of Sparkman Construction and Sparkman Feed Store. Dudley was a Mason of Bruton Lodge #30 in Muldrow and of the Baptist faith. Dudley married the love of his life, Tina Jo Stamps, on January 1, 1977. They worked side by side for 40 years. Dud was 18 and Tina 17 years old when they married. Their union was expected to fail when they married, however, Dud and Tina proved everyone’s prediction wrong after celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this past January. Dudley had a heart as big as his hat and loved Tina and extended family with all his heart. He had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his blue eyes that would light up a room. He would give you the shirt off his back and was a good friend to all who had the good fortune to know him.
Dudley is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tina; his children, Jason and Shiloh Sparkman of Springdale, AR and Kellie and Ray Richmond of Muldrow, OK; grandchildren, Cason, Kynleigh, Eli, Londyn, Josh, and Trevor; great grandchild, Kennedy; mother, Mary Farrar of Roland, OK; 3 sisters, Patty Langley of Lavaca, AR, Gail and Darron Johnson of Short, OK, and Tammy Taylor of Lavaca, AR.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Sparkman and younger brother, Steve Sparkman.
