Services for E W Smith, 78 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on June 21, 1940 in Gans, Oklahoma to Hazel (Tounzen) Smith and Andrew Jackson Smith and passed away on January 12, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He married Katherine (Poindexter) Smith.
Mr. Smith was a retired mechanic.

Survivors are:

wife, Katherine of the home

1 daughter, Elizabeth Ann Blair and Rick of Roland, OK;

4 sons, Larry Wayne Smith and Kathleen of Stillwater, OK, Gary Duane Smith and Jennifer of Ft. Smith, AR, Douglas Andrew Smith and Kristi of Van Buren, AR and Daniel Adam Smith and Peggy of Vian, OK;

18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren;

4 sisters, Gracie Stoll of California, Georgia Robison of Roland, OK, Shirley Mauldin of Sallisaw, OK and Hazel Long of Sallisaw, OK;

2 brothers, Buster Smith of Short, OK and Bert Smith of California;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters, Alpha Mae, Juanita, Nettie, Emma and Nina Mae; 7 brothers, James, Curt, Francis, Leroy, Robert, Truman and Donald.

Active Pallbearers will be Larry Wayne Smith, Gary Duane Smith, Douglas Andrew Smith, Daniel Adam Smith, Rick Blair and James Smith.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Monday, 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday and 10 am – 8 pm Wednesday where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Wednesday.
