Funeral service for Earnest Lee Bowden, 82 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Liberty Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 20, 1937 in Modesto, California to Virgie (Bradley) Bowden and George A. Bowden and passed away on February 25, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was married to Carolyn (Watkins) Bowden on March 31, 1962 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Mr. Bowden was a farmer, rancher and a heavy equipment operator for Sequoyah County.

Survivors are:

1 daughter and son-in-law: LaVonda and Lester Corbit of Muldrow, OK;

2 sons and daughters-in-law: Earnest “E.T.” and Daphne Bowden of Muldrow, OK and Randy and Trish Bowden of Muldrow, OK;

7 grandchildren: Dillon Corbit, Whitney Corbit, Jeannie Morgan, Allison Delp, Jaemon Christie, Ashley Christie and Ruben Bowden;

3 great grandchildren: Stormy and Azalea Christie and Aiden Bryant;

1 sister: Rachel Doosing of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn; his parents, 3 sisters: Maudie Kirkland, Elsie Smith and Ruth Chapman and 1 brother: Alfred Bowden.

Active Pallbearers will be Richard Hunter, Lester Corbit, Dillon Corbit, Ray Watts, Jaemon Christie, Rocky Teague and Ruben Bowden.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lloyd Hunt, Roger Chapman, Tony Lewis, George Sutton, Amon Wells and Tom West.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
