Edmund Dwain "Eddie" Stites

Funeral services for Edmund Dwain "Eddie" Stites, 64, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, are being held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Services. Viewing will be noon - 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK where family will greet from 5:30 to 7 PM.

Eddie was born on February 16, 1960, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Edmund and Gwen Stites. He passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Pocola, Oklahoma. 

Eddie was a nursing home administrator and a talented musician/singer/songwriter. Eddie loved to cook, play the horses and slot machines, and he especially loved his family.

Survivors are brother, Greg Stites and Dana of Sallisaw, OK; sister, Malora Stites of Sallisaw, OK; nieces, Danna Orendorff and Chris and April McInerney and James of Sallisaw, OK, Courtney Stites of Verdigris, OK, Christina Pletcher and James of Claremore, OK and Jacquette Godfrey of California; nephews, Noah Rumsey of Van Buren AR and James Godfrey, Shaun Godfrey and John Godfrey, all of California; and many other relatives and friends; and his special friends, the Weese's of Sallisaw.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brothers, Larry and Melvin Stites.

Active pallbearers will be Will Orendorff, Kirk Stites, Chad Stites, Tom Stites, Carl Ortiz, John Weese and Rick Agent. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Weese, Kelly Mitchell, and Chris Hensley.
