Edward Eugene "Gene" Copeland

Funeral Service for Edward Eugene "Gene" Copeland, 78 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Marble City Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on August 29, 1946 in Marble City, Oklahoma to Viola Edith (Honeycutt) Copeland and Ed Copleand and passed away on September 20, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Copeland was a general laborer.

Survivors are one daughter, Sandra Turner of Sallisaw, OK; three grandchildren, Jessica Helzer of Sallisaw, OK, Jerry Wayne Frye, Jr. of Gore, OK and Jacob Duane Helzer of Enid, OK; seven great-grandsons; four sisters, Freda Moore of Cookson, OK, Marilyn Conine of Sallisaw, OK, Sue Butler of Sallisaw, OK and Rhonda Thornell of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Eugene "Sonny" Copeland, Jr.; sister, Darlene Repp and two brothers, Mark Copeland and Bobby Copeland.

Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Frye, Jacob Duane Helzer, Dustin Murphy, Marlin Thornell, Kevin Copeland and Xaden Frye. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Khyler Frye, Colton Frye, Brannon Frye, Blake Frye, Talon Frye, Stone Christie and Shawn Pettit. 

Viewing will be 2 - 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
