Funeral Service for Edward “Skip” Hickelheim, 72, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Blackgum Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will be 12:30 PM on Monday, October 18, 2021 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on October 25, 1948 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Mable Sug (Johnson) Hickelheim and Edward Julius Hickelheim and passed away on October 8, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a fishing and hunting guide and enjoyed building jet boats. He was a United States Marine Veteran and attended Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors are:
3 daughters: Faith Hickelheim of St. Louis, MO, Hope Lambert of Pacific, MO, and Charity Brooks of Gore, OK;
9 grandchildren: Casey Smith, Luci Oliver, Hollie Bone, Ethan Oliver, Samantha Davis, Bailey Davis, Wyatt Brooks, Kaden Hickelheim and Blake Hickelheim;
4 great-grandchildren: Bentley Smith, Draven Bone, Hunter Bone and Greyson Davis;
3 sisters: Edna Baldridge of Vian, OK, Tammy Carter and Charlie of Vian, OK, and Gail Walters and Dustin of Sallisaw, OK;
1 brother: Kelly Hickelheim and Tina of Gore, OK;
4 nephews: Tommy Baldridge, Johnny Teehee, Michael Teehee and Timmy Baldridge;
1 brother-in-law: Jerry Spears of Gore, OK;
and a host of other family members and loved ones.
He was preceded by his parents; one sister, Ella Louise Spears; and one nephew, Scotty Spears.
Active Pallbearers will be Tommy Baldridge, Johnny Teehee, Michael Teehee, Kelly Hickelheim, Kenny Holloway and Eric Collins.
Viewing and Visitation will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
