Funeral service for Eldee (Ford) Miller, 95 of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Sallisaw, OK will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral service for Eldee (Ford) Miller, 95 of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Sallisaw, OK will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on July 31, 1927, along with her twin brother E.B., in Marble City, Oklahoma to Clara Elizabeth (Perry) Ford and William Emerson Ford. They were the first of eleven children which included three sets of twins. She passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on July 2, 2023 in Republic, Missouri after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Eldee was raised in Marble City and graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1945. She served at Lessley’s Cafe before moving to Muskogee where she was a waitress at Kay’s Fine Foods Restaurant. She also served in the cafeteria of Muskogee High School.

She married Freeman Turner Miller on July 10, 1954 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They had one daughter, Kathy Miller Jackson. She became a Christian and was baptized at Northside Baptist Church in 1965. She served by teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and as WMU director for the Muskogee Baptist Association for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Muskogee.

She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, fishing at Lake Fort Gibson and even an occasional motorcycle ride.

Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Freeman Miller of the home; one daughter, Kathy Jackson and David of Republic, MO; one granddaughter, Traci Pritchard and Devin; two great-grandsons, Henry and Jonathan Pritchard; one sister, Sue Suttle and Robert; three brothers, William E. Ford and Linda, Clifton Ford and Gloria and Johnnie Ford; two sisters-in-law, Geneva and Janice Ford; one brother-in-law, Curtis Stephens; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, E.B. Ford; brothers, Wyatt and Ronnie Ford; sisters, Betty Jo Sanders, Berniece Wilkins and Doy, Sylvia Stephens and sister-in-law, Merry Gayle Ford.

Active Pallbearers will be Devin Pritchard, Cana Hall, Matt Dill, Kurt Stephens, Ryan Dockery and Brian Ford.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
