Elizabeth (Holt) Shoup

Funeral service for Elizabeth “Liz” (Holt) Shoup, 72 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Gans Cemetery in Gans, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 6, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Gladys (Dobbs) Holt and Sidney Albert Holt and passed away on December 10, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Mitch Shoup on December 5, 1966 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Mrs. Shoup was retired from Whirlpool, where she worked on the door line and was a member of Van Buren Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are:

husband: Mitch of the home;

2 daughters: Michelle Shoup of Muldrow, OK and Teresa Thompson and Butch of Poteau, OK;

1 son: Chad Shoup of Muldrow, OK;

5 grandchildren: Kyle, Trenton, Destiny, Jessica, and Ashton:

1 great grandson: Liam;

mother of her granddaughter Jessica: Joyce Swigert;

1 sister: Wilma Smith of Muldrow, OK;

1 brother: Kenneth Holt of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister: Melva Holt Glasgow and 4 brothers: Cleon Ogdon, Charles Carter, Lawton Holt and Calvin Holt.

Active pallbearers will be Chad Shoup, Kyle Shoup, Trenton Thompson, Butch Thompson and Ashton Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marlin Lee, Darin Lee, Dwain Lee and Kevin Holt.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 pm Thursday and 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Friday.
