Graveside services for Emma Bird, 83 of Nicut community, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Salem Cemetery in Bell, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on July 18, 1937 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Mary Jones and passed away on August 26, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Charlie Bird on December 29, 1958 in Adair County, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Bird was a homemaker, who raised and taught her family how to be tough and told it like it was. She never went a day without laughs and was a strong willed woman. She told stories about back in the day, how to cook, culture and how to be with others. Family was her main concern and she would do anything for her kids and grandkids.

Survivors are:

1 son: Larry Bird of Nicut community, Oklahoma;

1 daughter in law: Margaret Bird;

1 son in law: Martin Coleman;

8 grandchildren: Isaac Sevenstar, Crystal Bird, Robin Bird, Connor Bird, Britny Coleman, Adam Coleman, Jalen Coleman and Kaden Coleman;

24 great grandchildren: Ericka Jenkins, Mariah Jenkins, Ashlinn Jenkins, Krystan Soap, Jax Bird, Journey Bird, Braxen Edwards, Brayli Martin, Charli Coleman, Hatti Coleman, Kinli Coleman, Mazi Coleman, Maddux Coleman, Cambree Coleman, Ryker Qualls, Lennox Coleman, Hendrixx Coleman, Stephanie Sevenstar, Avery Sevenstar, Cheyenne Sevenstar, Makayla Sevenstar, Ava Sevenstar, Greyson Sevenstar and Jordan Sevenstar;

1 great great granddaughter;

several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter: Angie (Bird) Coleman and mother: Mary Jones.

Active Pallbearers will be Adam Coleman, Jalen Coleman, Kaden Coleman, Connor Bird, Bill Soap and Quintin Watts.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Bird, Bobby Sevenstar, Isaac Sevenstar, Alex Sevenstar, Samuel Sevenstar, James Mathis and 2 special ladies: Jasmine Wofford and Courtney Watts.

Viewing will be 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
