Emma Lou (Summerhill) Pendergrass

Graveside service for Emma Lou Pendergrass, 85 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Allison Cemetery in Short, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on February 2, 1937 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Malinda (Hood) Summerhill and Denny Summerhill and passed away on March 12, 2022 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was married to Mose Wiley Pendergrass on July 19, 1952 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2015. Mrs. Pendergrass was a beautician for over 44 years.

Survivors are:

Son: Charles Pendergrass and Brenda of Muldrow, OK;

Granddaughter: Hannah Mills and Eli of Centerton, AR;

Other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 sisters: Letha Belk, Velma Melancon, Ann Patterson, Verna White and Ina Syrock and 2 brothers: Fay and Loyd Summerhill

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert White, Randy White, Larry White, Farrell McGehee, Shawn Woodward, Loren Pendergrass, Rick Pendergrass, Paul Summerhill and Kenney Summerhill.

Viewing and visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Wednesday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow.
