Eric Lasiter

Eric Lasiter, age 55, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma was born on August 28, 1969, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Brenda Rose (Haddox) Lasiter and James Henry Lasiter. Eric departed this life on January 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A devoted father, Eric found great joy in spending time with his two beloved daughters, Sarah Logan Lasiter of Austin, TX, and Abby Lasiter of Broken Arrow, OK. His daughters were the heart of his world.

Eric dedicated many years of his life to serving and protecting his community as a Fort Smith police officer, where he proudly participated in the S.W.A.T. and Bicycle Patrol Units. His commitment to public service extended to his role as a Paraprofessional at Central Public Schools, where he was affectionately known as "Mr. Eric." His passion for movies and music enriched the lives of those around him.

In addition to his two daughters, Sarah Logan Lasiter of Austin, TX, and Abby Lasiter of Broken Arrow, OK, he is survived by his mother, Brenda Lasiter of Sallisaw, OK; one sister, Lora Coulter and her husband Craig of Fort Smith, AR; one brother, Nathan Lasiter and his wife Sarah of Edmond, OK; as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Samuel Coulter, Olivia Coulter, Paul Lasiter, Alex Lasiter, Nicolas Lasiter, and Aiden Lasiter, along with other relatives and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Lasiter.

A funeral service to honor Eric's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Following the service, burial will take place at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma, under the guidance of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Active pallbearers will include Samuel Coulter, Paul Lasiter, Alex Lasiter, Nicolas Lasiter, Aidan Lasiter, and Peter Cullum. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Bailey, Rob Stewart, and Brad Cullum.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing Monday from noon to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will receive guests from 6 to 8 PM.

Eric Lasiter will be remembered for his passion, dedication, and love for family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will not be forgotten.
