Faye (Barbee) Carter

Funeral Service for Faye Carter, 92, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on May 10, 1928 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Nora (Helton) Barbee and John Barbee and passed away on March 25, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Lawrence Carter on August 23, 1948 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1992. She worked at Walmart as a jewelry consultant and later as a greeter.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Debbie Watson and Tom of Cheyenne, WY;

1 son: Steve Carter and Cherri of Sallisaw, OK;

6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and four sisters.

Active Pallbearers will be Thomas Watson, Chris Day, Jeremy Carter, Andy McEver, Zac Polasek and Dakota Robertson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Watson, Joe Leon, Dillon Robertson and Montana Robertson.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK.
