Fayrene (Godwin) Hightower

Private Family Service for Fayrene Hightower, 93, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be held under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Out of respect for Mrs. Hightower’s many friends, we are having a private family service.

She was born on January 24, 1927 in Abbott, Arkansas to Hettie Estella (Gann) Godwin and Teddy Fay Godwin and passed away on April 4, 2020 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Bob G. Hightower on November 10, 1957 in Abbott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church for 63 years.

Survivors are:

son: John Hightower and Tammy of Sallisaw, OK;

daughter: Jody Powell and David of Carrollton, TX;

6 grandchildren: Zach, Brady, Abby, Caleb, Kayley and Nathan;

1 brother: Sam Godwin of Mansfield, AR;

numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Fay and Hettie Godwin; and 1 sister, Evelyn Quick.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 4 PM Tuesday, 10 AM – 4 PM Wednesday and 10 AM – 4 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
