Funeral service for Freddie “Ted” Brewer, 88 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Gans Assembly of God Church in Gans, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Gans Cemetery in Gans, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on March 3, 1934 in Brent community, Oklahoma to Elizabeth Leona (Taylor) Brewer and Doc Britton Brewer and passed away on February 17, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Edna Mae (Lockhart) Brewer on December 27, 1956 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2016. Mr. Brewer retired as a major from the Fort Smith Police Department after 32 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Belle Point Lodge 20 in Fort Smith for over 40 years, a member of Bruton Lodge 30 in Muldrow and member of Fort Smith Fraternal Order of Police.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; four sisters, Alene Pyles, Pauline Holder, Maxine Sparkman and Daphine Holder and three brothers, Raymond, Norman and Curtis Brewer.

Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Don Holder, Kenneth Holder, Allen Holder, David Sparkman, Kevin Powers and Jimmy Ray Andrews.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
