Freddie Mae Ballard was born July 20, 1936 in Sycamore, Oklahoma to Claud and Ola Ballard. She passed this life on October 18, 2021 in Tahlequah Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Leroy Reid, on May 24, 1957 and they set out to build a beautiful life together, always serving Christ and others from the start. Freddie was primarily seen as a 1st grade teacher and elegantly dressed Pastor’s wife but she was so much more. During the depression she was a field worker and as a young woman she worked on a Marine base and as a telephone operator. Her intelligence was only matched by her wittiness and beauty. Freddie did have one main flaw, chronic lateness.
