Freeda Mae (Baker) Davis

Funeral Service for Freeda Mae (Baker) Davis, 99, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Box Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on May 24, 1921 in Rudy, Arkansas to Sarah Irene (Mason) Baker and Silas Michael Baker and passed away on November 22, 2020 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was married to Buster T. Davis on January 1, 1940 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2008. Freeda was a strong Christian woman and loved reading her Bible. She was an avid seamstress, loved doing art and crafts and was an amateur at writing poems. Freeda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was well loved and loved well. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Sandra Hughes of El Cajon, CA;

8 grandchildren;

7 great-grandchildren;

7 great-great-grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster T. Davis; one daughter, Donna Fury; one son, Jerry Don Davis; her parents; four sisters, Orpha Atwell, Jessie Carpenter, Verna Brinkman and Irene Pack; and three brothers, Virgil Baker, Eldon Baker and Valley Silas Baker.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 4 PM Saturday, 2 – 8 PM Sunday and 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
