Graveside Service for Gary Lee Southern, 74, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Rocky Point Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Gary Lee Southern was born on November 16, 1945 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Beulah Ivy (King) Southern and William Brian Southern and passed away on December 10, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Maxine Southern on May 10, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was a mechanic and maintenance supervisor and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

wife: Maxine of the home;

1 son: Gary Southern, Jr. of Rocky Point, OK;

4 daughters: Beulah Faye Gibbins of Rocky Point, OK, Tammy Lynn Riggs of Muldrow, OK, Noel Southern Ryan of Rocky Point, OK and DeAnna Heppner of Rocky Point, OK;

1 step-son: John Mickle of Brushy, OK;

1 step-daughter: Carol Mosley of Naples, FL;

14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren;

1 brother: Bill Southern and wife, Marie, of Muldrow, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Violet Lou Chism; step-daughter, Kathy Drake; 5 brothers, Willard, Eugene, Dale, Sidney and Donald Southern; and 5 sisters, Shirley Henson, Joyce Lewis, Joann Brown, Maxine Hardwick and Donna Southern.

Active Pallbearers will be Gary Southern, Jr., Sam Mosley, Gary Southern III, James Gibbons, Terry Chisum and Larry Heppner.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
