Funeral service for Gary Wayne McAlister, 79 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home.

He was born on June 2, 1943 in Roland, Oklahoma to Wilma (Daniels) McAlister and James McAlister and passed away on August 10, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Linda (Henson) McAlister on May 12, 1964 in Roland, Oklahoma. Mr. McAlister was a retired forklift operator from Whirlpool and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors are:

wife, Linda of the home;

2 daughters, Kim Floyd of Muldrow, OK and Kathy Green and Dowen of Muldrow, OK;

1 son, Roger McAlister and Candi of Akins community, OK;

7 grandchildren, Searra, Taylee, Ashton, Dallas, Taylor, Garrett and Colton;

2 great grandchildren, Paisley and Abigail;

1 sister: Glenda Wiley and Richard of Roland, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Julian; his parents; 2 brothers, Larry and James “Doodle” McAlister.

Active Pallbearers will be Roger McAlister, Garrett McAlister, Colton McAlister, Jarrard Copeland, Greg Copeland and Kenny Copeland..

Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Cosner, Richard Wiley, Gary Gann, Ray Randall and Kenny Swift..

Viewing and visitation will be 6 – 8 pm Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, OK.
