He was born on September 30, 1937 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Beulah (Roberson) Trimmell and Ralph Trimmell and passed away on July 14, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Trimmell attended Nowata Grade School through 5th grade before his family moved to Fort Smith where he graduated from North Side High School in 1955. Right after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of A1C and was Crew Chief on T-29 aircraft. After his four years of military service, he went to work for Klein Tools and retired in 1999 after 25 years. From the age of 14, he made leather goods for saddle and tack, belts and a variety of other leather goods. He has been involved in horse associations and car clubs. He loved a good Waltz and a little bit of two stepping. He also loved motorcycles in his 20’s. Above all, he preferred to be called a “saddle maker”. In his last days, he would tell you he was a follower of Jesus Christ and that is how he would want you to remember him.
