A Celebration of Life Cookout for Georgia Wade
One of her Georgia’s favorite things to do was to host a cookout and she was instructing us to get the grill ready during her last days with us. When talking with her sister, Mildred Choate Taylor, we thought what better way to celebrate her life than to continue with her plans and host a cookout in her honor.

On Sunday, July 15, we (her kids will be hosting one final cookout at her home from 12pm to 2pm. We would like to extend an invitation to her family and friends to stop by and eat a hamburger or hot dog and share stories and your special memories of Georgia. Feel free to dress casually, as shorts and flip flops are acceptable or come as you are in your Sunday best if you are coming after church.

Georgia’s last days were spent with family telling stories and laughing. Her final moments were spent with both of her sons by her side holding her hands while reminiscing about their childhood with her daughter-in-laws beside them. Georgia and Charles E. Wade hosted cookouts for family every Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day with many stories being shared and lots of laughter. Georgia loved telling and listening to stories. We hope to hear more stories on the 15th..

Location: Georgia Wade home at 1210 N. Wheeler Ave., Sallisaw, OK 74955 (SE corner of US 59 and Sequoyah St.)
