Graveside Service for Gerald W. “Jerry” Cooper, 70, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on June 24, 1949 in Pasadena, California to Ida Vestelle (Rainey) Cooper and Donald Courson Cooper and passed away on April 18, 2020 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was married to Terry Lee (West) Cooper on August 26, 1974 in Durango, Colorado. The majority of his life, Jerry was a screen printer. However, he was a master of many arts. He was a graphic artist and was a pioneer in the early days of computer aided graphic art. He was a car nut and built several cars. He also enjoyed drag racing. He and Terry spent their early days in Colorado, where they met and fell in love. He built custom fly rods and loved fishing. During this time he learned many of his screen printing skills which allowed he and Terry to own and operate their screen printing business. He was a multifaceted man who above all loved his family. He never compromised.

Survivors are:

wife: Terry of the home;

1 daughter and son-in-law: Elise and Dr. Mark Horne of Muldrow, OK;

1 son and daughter-in-law: Garrett and Jennifer Cooper of Manassas Park, VA;

4 grandchildren: Annaliese, Sam and Evie Horne and Courson Cooper;

sister: Arleen Hines of Redding, CA;

nieces: Linda Keown, Noreen Wallace, Suzanne Dreyer and Nicole Cooper;

nephews: Ray West, Cody West, Ben West, Joe West, Gary Hines, Jim Hines, Tommy Hines, Mike Hines, Steve Rice, Kenny Rice, Don Cornford and Nick Cooper;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Cornford; brother, Roy Cooper; brother-in-law, Lee Hines; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ben and Evalee West.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian West, Gary West, Ray West, Cody West, Ben West, Joe West and Pete Hoffman

Viewing will be 10 AM – 6 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma.
