Geraldine (Mckinney) Latimer

Funeral service for Geraldine Latimer, 92 of Wagoner, OK, formerly of Sallisaw will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on May 26, 1930 in Brushy community, Oklahoma to Bessie (Brewer) McKinney and William Silas McKinney and passed away on December 14, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Earl Latimer on October 15, 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Latimer was a former nurse’s aid at St. John Hospital and photo lab secretary in Tulsa, OK. She loved flowers and was a very good cook. She really loved her family and going to church.

Survivors are husband, Earl of the home; one son, Larry Gowen and Lynn of Sallisaw, OK; two step-daughters, Kim McHugh and Billy of Broken Arrow, OK and Georgiana Gardipe of Oklahoma City, OK; one step-son, Mike Latimer of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, James Gowen, Tosha Eastman and Norm, Daniel Gowen and Candy, Cecilia McHugh, Jonathan Ross and Desmond Latimer; numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Gowen; one step-son, Trey and one sister, Waneve Asbill.

Active Pallbearers will be James Gowen, Daniel Gowen, Archie Risenhoover, Kaleb Clark, Daniel Harris, Ty Gowen and Caleb Gowen.

Viewing will be noon – 8 pm Sunday and 10 am – 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm Monday.
