Goldie June (Alderson) Harvey

Goldie June (Alderson) Harvey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 86 in Vian, Oklahoma. Born on February 2, 1938, in Checotah, Oklahoma, Goldie was a shining light in the lives of those she touched. She was the daughter of Edith Elizabeth (Hagan) Alderson and Willie Alderson and was joined in marriage to Wallace Clifford Harvey on June 11, 1955, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion until Wallace's passing on October 4, 2008.

Goldie was a woman of remarkable faith and unwavering strength, embodying the spirit of a devoted wife and mother. She was a cherished member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Sallisaw, where her kindness and warmth were felt by many. For 15 years, she embraced her role as a people greeter at Wal-Mart, brightening the days of everyone who entered with her welcoming smile.

Goldie's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, June (Harvey) Looper and Richard of Sallisaw, and her son, Calvin Harvey and Anita of Sallisaw. She took immense joy in her grandchildren: James Kyle Looper and Elke Looper, Harmony Autumn Rose Gantt, Katelyn Looper, Jedediah Looper, Jonathan Kody Looper, Vadim Bulatov, Christopher Staton, Ryan and Brianne (Harvey) Kinder, Nora Grace Kinder, and Samuel Kinder. Goldie's heart was also warmed by her two sisters-in-law, Judy Alderson and Corlis Alderson, her brother-in-law, Ronald Harvey and Janis, and a host of special nieces and nephews who meant the world to her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her cherished husband, a beloved sister Bonnie Paton and her husband Chuck, and five brothers: W.C. Alderson, John Alderson, Ben Alderson, Jimmy Alderson, and Roger Alderson.

As we remember Goldie, let us celebrate the incredible love she shared through her family and friends. A funeral service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sallisaw City Cemetery.

Viewing will take place on Sunday from 2 - 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family invites friends to greet them from 3 - 5 PM.

Goldie's impact on our lives will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
