Services for Grady Lee Abbott, 91 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on December 18, 1927 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Maude Mae (Dickerson) Abbott and Lewis Israel Abbott and passed away on March 23, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Lillian (Craighead) Abbott on January 15, 1954 in Valley Center, Kansas. Mr. Abbott was an aircraft and auto painter with McDonald Douglas, a U.S. Army Veteran where he served from 1950 – 1952 with the 631st Division Heavy Artillery. He was baptized in 1964 and was a member of Clayton Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK.

Survivors are:

wife:Lillian of the home;

2 daughters and sons in law: Gale and Leroy Dallis of Tahlequah, OK and Brenda and Richard Newcomer of Broken Arrow, OK;

2 sons and 1 daughter in law: Kenneth and Donna Abbott of Broken Arrow, OK and Jim Abbott of Tulsa, OK;

9 grandchildren;

11 great grandchildren;

1 sister: Loretta Crittenden of Tulsa, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Gretchen Ross, Delfa Abbott and Lilly Coons and 3 brothers: Curtis Abbott, Troy Abbott and Bruce Abbott

Active pallbearers will be David Thornton, Jr., James Thornton, Barry Craighead, Stratus Craghead, Clayton Craghead, Daniel Craghead and Trey Craghead.

Viewing will be noon – 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Wednesday .
