Funeral Service for Gregory Alan Whalen, 68, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Gregory Alan Whalen was born on August 12, 1953 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Amy Louise (Whitehead) Whalen and John Lester Whalen and passed away on May 19, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was an 11-year Veteran of the U.S. Army and an appliance repairman. He attended First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Survivors are:

4 daughters, Kelly, Sherry, Natalie and Rhonda;

4 sisters, Kelly Monnet of West Terre Haute, IN, Mary Carey of Terre Haute, IN, Esther Colon of Carmel, IN and Edna Ramkissoon of Fishers, IN;

5 brothers, Michael Whalen of Sallisaw, OK, John Whalen, Avon, IN, Jerry Whalen of Gainsville, VA, Steven Whalen of Toledo, OH and David Whalen of Indianapolis, IN;

and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother; and one sister, Debra Bye.

Active Pallbearers will be Michael Whalen, Christopher Whalen, Adam Whalen, Alexander Whalen, Daryl Goodwin and Paul Lessley.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Logan Whalen.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
