Hank (U NA TSI) Birdtail, age 71, of Gore, Oklahoma, passed away on December 12, 2024.

Born on February 19, 1953, in Gore to Flora (Washington) Birdtail and William "Bill" Birdtail, Hank graduated from Gore High School in 1971. He dedicated 30 years to his work as an electrician at ITS Electrical in Savannah, Georgia. Throughout his life, Hank enjoyed various pastimes, including playing pool, listening to music, and spending time in his garden. His skills extended to fixing automobiles, and he had a passion for building with lumber.

Hank held a special fondness for the 4th of July, which he cherished as a time to gather with his son, William, daughter-in-law Sara, and grandsons, Lil' Will, Landon and Ollie. His kindness and genuine nature made each person he met feel like a lifelong friend. His radiant smile and zest for life touched many, and he will be profoundly missed by those who knew him.

Hank is survived by his three grandsons, Lil' Will, Landon and Ollie; three sisters, Rosie Watts of Gore, OK, Susie and Derek Abshere of Muskogee, OK, and Lora and Luis Cortez of Gore, OK; and four brothers, Henry and Joncie Birdtail of Porum, OK, George and June Birdtail of Pooler, GA, Marvin and Janie Birdtail of Meridian, MS, and Roy and Teresa Birdtail of Alma, AR. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Camille Silva; his parents; his son, William Henry Birdtail; one sister, Marie Ellen Elbon; and two brothers, Leon and Richard Birdtail.

A memorial service to celebrate Hank's life will be held at Oak Grove Baptist in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Viewing will take place on Monday and Tuesday from 3 PM to 7 PM at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore, OK.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sarah and Travis Sandy, Compassus Hospice, and Lacy and Robyn of Cherokee Nation 3 Rivers Cancer Program for their unwavering care and support during this difficult time. Additionally, the family appreciates every text, call, and prayer that has been offered in Hank's memory.
