Funeral services for Harold Allen Sumpter, 90 of Gore, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Stevenson Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 16, 1929 in Gore, Oklahoma to Almeda Brown Sumpter and Andrew Galloway Sumpter and passed away on January 8, 2020 in Gore, Oklahoma. He was married to Malinda Frances Hubler on July 20, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Mr. Sumpter was a carpenter and member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors are:

wife: Frances of the home;

4 daughters: Deborah Sumpter of Oklahoma City, OK, Danna Sumpter of Gore, OK, Glenna Lowder of Ft. Smith, AR and Shelly Keathley and Sheldon of Gore, OK;

1 son: Steve Sumpter and Melissa of Gore, OK;

9 grandchildren: Brandon Shackelford and Lacey of Moore, OK, Theron Shackelford and Carla of Moore, OK, Wayne Isley of Sallisaw, OK, Justin Lowder and Magen of Pocola, OK, Steven Sumpter and Bethany of Gore, OK, Heath Lowder and Tracy of Muldrow, OK, Hali Schmille and Spencer of Sallisaw, OK, Kylie Johnson and Luke of Ft. Smith, AR and Cole Keathley of Gore, OK;

14 great grandchildren: Colton, Kyle, Taylor, Shelbi, Hunter, Chandler, Ty, Tate, Sawyer, Suttyn, Lane, Amelia, Peyton and Lucas;

7 great great grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ledena Sumpter Schneider; great-grandson, Jackson Lowder; great-granddaughter, Parker Lowder; parents, 2 sisters, Doris Smithson and Ruth Hubler; and 5 brothers, Howard Sumpter, Arvel Sumpter, Clifford Sumpter, Calvin Sumpter and Jimmy Sumpter.

Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Shackelford, Theron Shackelford, Wayne Isley, Justin Lowder, Heath Lowder, Steven Sumpter, and Cole Keathley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hali Schmille, Kylie Johnson and Johnny Sumpter.

Viewing will be 1- 8 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Milsap Event Center in Gore where the family will greet 3 – 5 pm Sunday.
