Helen (Robinson) Swon

Services for Helen Swon, 89 of formerly of Vian, OK will be at Noon on Friday, March 15, 2019 at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on July 10, 1929 in Gore, OK to Hester Louola Kendrick Robinson and Edward Franklin Robinson and passed away on March 8, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was married to Edward Blue Swon on April 20, 1962 in Livingston, CA.. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2006. Helen, known to many as Nannie, was devoted to God, her family, and praying. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading her Bible, music and her flower garden. She was well known for her singing, cooking (especially her fried pies), and ministering to the sick. In her almost 90 years on this earth, she touched many many lives! She will be greatly missed!

Survivors are:

4 daughters: Lou Owens and husband: Wes of Vian, OK, Karen Stoner of Oklahoma City, OK, Carla Humphrey and husband: Monte of Ft. Gibson, OK and Neela Nuckolls and husband: Richard of Batesville, AR;

2 sons: Larry Johnson and wife: Sharon of Sallisaw, OK and Kelly Swon and wife: Tammy of Muskogee, OK;

15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren;

and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Blue Swon, parents: Edward and Hester Robinson, 5 sisters: Nita, Jewell, Pauline, Connie and Bertha and 4 Brothers: Jack, Roy, Albert and Arvel

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
