He was born on January 22, 1941 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Inez Gertrude Wroten and Herbert Carthal Hampton, Sr. and passed away on December 24, 2018 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Jerri A. Hampton in May 1988 in Booneville, Arkansas. Mr. Hampton was a retired owner/operator and OTR truck driver.

Survivors are:

wife, Jerri of the home;

5 children, Michael Hampton of Greenwood, AR, Mark Hampton of Lavaca, Ar, Michelle Betnar of Muldrow, OK, Kaylynn Carthart of South Carolina and Angela Monroe of Muldrow, OK;

11 grandchildren, Heath, Hayley, Lyndsay, Laura, Crissa, Dylan, Nathan, Kaylee, Marlee, Ashlee, and Noah;

8 great grandchildren, Tripp, Jensen, Sawyer, Evie, Maddie, Ellie, Allie, and Ava;

3 sisters, Wanda Ellis of Wagoner, OK, Carla Fletcher and Jerry of Haskell, OK and Linda Dunsmore and Steve of Broken Arrow, OK;

4 brothers, Jimmy Hampton and Darlene of Bixby, OK, Paul Hampton and Jackie of Leonard, OK, Steve Hampton of Leonard, OK and Larry Hampton and Heather of Haskell, OK;

1 brother in law, Jerry Waymire, Sr. of Broken Arrow, OK;

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Hila Sue Smith and Betty Waymire and 2 brothers, Johnny and Nub Hampton

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Galloway, J.B. Wells, Bill Sweeten, Bruce Eutsler, Kenneth Daniels and Don Daniels.
