She was born on February 13, 1955 in Vietnam to Nghia Thi Nguyen and Lam Huu Nguyen and passed away on July 31, 2021 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was married to Gerd Wilhelm Beutel in January 2012 in Centerville, Tennessee. Lan was a travel nurse all over the country. She also took up real estate later in life. A big passion in her life was her flower gardens. She was always working outside in them and they brought her much happiness. She was a hardworking woman who always had a smile on her face. She loved being around people and hiking, but most of all she loved her family.

Sons: Peter Lewis and Justin Lewis;

Granddaughter: Nia Lewis;

Siblings: Do Huu Nguyen, Phuong Thi Nguyen, Hoang Huu Nguyen, Kham Huu Nguyen, Hung Huu Nguyen, Dung Huu Nguyen and Hoang Hoa Thi Nguyen.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Nghia Thi Nguyen; father: Lam Huu Nguyen; sister: Bach Yen Thi Nguyen; and brothers: Hai Huu Nguyen and Dong Huu Nguyen.
