Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Honorary Pallbearers will be all United States Veterans.

He was born on September 28, 1923 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to Martha Joanna Hall Johnson and Cap Tolia Johnson and passed away on November 27, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was married to Doris Walker Johnson on February 28, 1958 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

He was a real estate broker and appraiser; U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Survivors are:

6 nephews: Mike Cornelison of Ada, OK, Mark Cornelison of Checotah, OK, Gerald Walker of Tahlequah, OK, Robert Johnson of Oregon, Ronnie Johnson of Seminole, OK and Billy Johnson of Seminole, OK
1 great nephew, Dr. Gid R. Johnson of Longview, TX

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cap and Martha Johnson, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of World War II, The Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War, being decorated with the following awards and medals:

Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon
National Defense Service Medal
Air Force Longevity Service Award w/3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters

During his service in the Department of Defense (Army Air Corps WWII/U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army) he had many significant assignments: MOS 502 Chief Clerk (Airplane/Engine Mechanics Training); Court Reporter (Gregg Shorthand/Stenomask); Flightline Technician (WWII Troubleshooter); Jet Propulsion Experimental Test Stand Technician (Power Plant Laboratory, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio); Staff Member of two Major Air Commanders; Staff Member of Command Group, Headquarters European Command, Paris, France; Legal Services Superintendent & Administrative Services Superintendent at Major
Command levels.
