Hubert Dail and Maria "Bambi" Rogers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hubert Dail Rogers, 85, and his beloved wife Maria “Bambi” Rogers, 69, both of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held to honor their lives at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, under the care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Hubert, born on August 11, 1939, in Sallisaw, was a dedicated and skilled individual. He was a former asbestos abater and rural mail carrier, but it was his passion for carpentry that truly defined him. He had a remarkable talent for designing and building projects, and his wisdom inspired those around him. Hubert loved to teach and offer guidance, leaving a lasting impact on his family and friends.

Maria, born on June 28, 1955, in San Francisco, California, was the epitome of kindness and warmth. She found joy in gardening and had a deep love for horses. She enoyed spending time with her sister-in-law, Della McCaleb, creating cherished memories. Maria's gentle nature and loving heart made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.

Together, Hubert and Maria shared a love for motorcycle riding and the art of calligraphy, embracing life’s simple pleasures side by side.

They leave behind a loving family that includes five daughters: Vanessa Tanner and husband Jeff of Lubbock, TX; Hali Rogers of Lubbock, TX; Crystal Thomas and husband Dennis of Sallisaw, OK; Nikki Baureis and husband Charley of Heber Springs, AR; and Julie Baggs and husband David of Sallisaw, OK. Their legacy continues with three sons: Rafe Rogers and companion Bonnie of Lubbock, TX; Corey Rogers and wife Jolene of Shallowwater, TX; and Wes Rogers and wife Sandra of Carlsbad, NM. They are also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with a bonus grandson, Brian Martin.

Hubert's two sisters, Della McCaleb and Jessie Kayleen Patrick and husband Mike, both of Sallisaw, OK, along with numerous relatives and friends who cherished them dearly.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Ivey Jessie (Watts) Rogers and Hubert Oyler "Buster" Rogers while Maria is reunited with her loving husband Hubert, her parents, Karen (Jones) Baldwin and Aldo Edmundo Bogni and her sister Debbie Wade.

 A viewing will take place from noon to 8 PM on Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Pallbearers who will honor their memory include Wes Rogers, Cory Rogers, Dennis Thomas, David Baggs, Brian Martin, Travis Connelly, and Devon Baggs.

May their spirits find peace together as they continue their journey side by side, forever watching over their loved ones.
