Inez (Edgmon) Williams

Funeral service for Inez (Edgmon) Williams, 94 of McKey community, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on August 31, 1925 in McKey community, Oklahoma to Laura Blanche (Horn) Edgmon and Sherman Dewey Slater Edgmon and passed away on November 30, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Louis A. Williams on January 27, 1943 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2006. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker, former cook for Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home and Sallisaw Nutrition Center, a home helath provider and a member of McKey Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Marilyn Craghead and Wayne of Sallisaw, OK, Deborah Wooten of Sallisaw, OK and Barbara Graham of Sallisaw, OK;

10 grandchildren: Templia Swanson, Bridget Wright, Jennifer Netz, Darrell Craghead, Jeffrey Craghead, Misty Caudle, Jonathan Williams, Kimberly Real, Megan Wooten and Angela Rodgers;

25 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren;

other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Williams, 2 daughters: Brenda Choate and Margaret Ann Williams and 1 son: Johnny Louis Williams.

She was the oldest of 6 siblings and the last to leave this earthly home, those that passed before her were her brothers: G.L. Edgmon, Doyle Ray Edgmon, Horace Edgmon, Sherman Edgmon and sister: Grace Nicholson.

Active pallbearers will be Darrell Craghead, Jeffrey Craghead, Jonathan Williams, Derek Netz, Tyler Mathis, Creedence Wooten and Cade Real.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw where the family will greet friends 6 – 8 pm.
