Memorial services for Irene (Clayton) Lauducci, 98 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at Vian Baptist Church on Saturday, November 26, 2022. A fellowship lunch will be at noon followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Irene was born on March 11, 1924 in Sycamore community in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma to Johnnie Mae (Fletcher) Clayton and Jonas Bruton Clayton and passed away on November 14, 2022 in Vian, Oklahoma. Irene attended school in Vian where she played basketball and started her life long love of reading. She married Robert “Bob” Lauducci on January 6, 1943. They met in Columbus, Mississippi where he was stationed and Irene was visiting a friend. They had 4 children and lived in Syracuse, New York and Tulsa, Oklahoma before retiring to her hometown of Vian. After her children were grown, Irene went back to school to fulfill a life long dream of becoming a nurse. She practiced nursing to the age of 70 and said she loved every minute of it. She was an avid quilter. She and her sister, Wilma took clogging lessons and performed with their clogging group through their 80’s.

Survivors are four children, Bobbi Lauducci (Fred) of Anacortes, WA, Mimi Lauducci of Los Angeles, CA, Gene Lauducci of Corning, CA and Richard Lauducci of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren, Jacob Navarro (Tammy) of Anacortes, WA, Elizabeth Yale (Charles) of Marietta, NY, Tara Lund (Ben) of Chandler, AZ, Christian Lauducci (Josie) of Oakland, CA and Jeremy Cummins of Los Angeles, CA; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; one brother, Robert Cecil Clayton (Liz) of Gore, OK; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, six sisters, one daughter-in-law, four nieces and two nephews.
