Funeral Service for J.B. Cole, 88, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral Service for J.B. Cole, 88, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on October 22, 1934 in Long, Oklahoma to Myrtle Mable (Fraiser) Cole and Henry Clarence Cole and passed away on November 9, 2022 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was married to Nina Ruth (Looper) Cole on May 3, 1957 in Akins, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2022. He was a veteran of the United States Army, worked for Dr. Humphrey’s Veterinarian Clinic and with the Civil Conservation Corps. J.B. was a member of First Baptist Church of Sallisaw where he also worked in maintenance.

Survivors are three sisters-in-law, Ann Looper of Sallisaw, OK, Kay Cole of Sallisaw, OK and Violet Cole of Kansas; two nephews, Kenneth Martindale of Sallisaw, OK and Richard Dale Cole of Kansas; special friend, LouAnn Gladd of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous other great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa “Susie” Cole; wife, Nina Ruth Cole; three sisters, Olene Martindale, Theora Powers and Hazel Tippins; and four brothers, George, Clarence, Richard and Herschel Cole.

Active Pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Sallisaw.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Scotty Ellis, Mitchell Ellis, Kenneth Martindale and Paul Parks.
