At his home in Roland, Oklahoma in the early hours of May 20, 2023, Jack H. Shamblin passed from this world.  He was only a few acres away from the family farm where he was born on May 12, 1927.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane; his grandson, Master Sergeant Joshua Wheeler; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; his daughters, Linda Williams and Liz Brown; his son, Jack Alan Shamblin; as well as his grandchildren, Zach Wheeler, Adam, Andrew, Tammy Beth and Alex Cole, Tatira Wade, Heather, Rachel and Scottie Quackenbush; and 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked at Dixie Cup, eventually becoming one of their chief mechanics.  After 42 years of service, and the last of the original 12 employees, Jack retired with much fanfare and accolades. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, hunting, guitar and tinkering. Jack was a member of the Methodist Church since 1948.

Visitation will be Monday, May 22, 2023 between 4 PM and 6 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. The family will be present.
