James M. Hickman

Graveside Service for James M. Hickman, 76, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on August 9, 1947 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Etta (Fields) Hickman and Clarence Manuel Hickman and passed away on November 10, 2023 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was married to Patricia (Postell) Hickman on April 11, 2008 in Marble City, Oklahoma. James formerly worked at Riverside and was a member of Muldrow Church of God. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping.

Survivors are wife, Patricia of the home; one son, John Hickman and Melinda of Muldrow, OK; one step-son, Shaun Rhodes and Tammera of Muskogee, OK; one step-daughter, Lisa Talbert and Raymond “Bud” of Wellsville, OH; two sisters, Betty Costelow of Henryetta, OK and Mary Gamble of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Evie Hickman, Mackenzie Rhodes, Michael Rhodes, Clayton Talbert and Justin Talbert; five great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Clarence, John and John Charles.

Pallbearers will be Larry Apker, John Hickman, Shaun Rhodes, Michael Rhodes, Frank Knight and Billy Kennedy.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Friday.
