Janet (Hedges) Parker

Graveside Service for Janet (Hedges) Parker, 76, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. 

She was born on December 13, 1947 in Buckner, Missouri to Betty Frances (Southard) Hedges and Robert H. Hedges and passed away on July 24, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Tex Comer Parker. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2000. Janet loved Jesus and her family more than anything. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was most special to her. She also loved her horses, cats, her farm animals as well as her Tractor Supply family and her neighbors. Janet got up every morning saying she was going to put on the whole armor of God. 

Survivors are one daughter, Kimberly Shaver and Don of Fort Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Stephanie Kightlinger and Michael of Fort Smith, AR, Alyson Freeman and David of Greenwood, AR, Jamie Ramsey and Mark of Tontitown, AR and Chance Hammer and Hanna of Muldrow, OK; six great-grandchildren, Channing, Beckham, Caroline, Adeline, Theo and Millie; one brother, Mark Hedges of Burleson, TX; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Robert Hedges, Jr. 

Active Pallbearers will be Michael Kightlinger, Mark Ramsey, Dennis Day, David Freeman, Chance Hammer and Don Shaver. 

Visitation will be Noon - 6 Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 4 - 6 PM.
