Funeral Service for Janice (Barnes) Risenhoover, 90 of Brushy community, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August, 27 2024 at Brushy Holiness Church in Brushy community, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Brushy community, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on December 9, 1933 in Brushy community, Oklahoma to Lou Emma (Roark) Barnes and Virgil Barnes and passed away on August 22, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to R.G. Risenhoover on June 2, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2004. Mrs. Risenhoover was a homemaker and member of Brushy Holiness Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Sheila Keith and David of Sallisaw, OK and Nita Marley of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Archie Risenhoover of Sallisaw, OK; five grandchildren, Michelle O'Neal and Patrick of Sallisaw, OK, Kimberly Dorr and Dewayne Gomez of DeLeon, TX, Kendall Marley and Jill of Sallisaw, OK, Sasha Risenhoover of Sallisaw, OK and Shawnna Choate and Darin of Vian, OK; nine great-grandchildren, Kaden Marley, Journey Marley, Adrian Marley, Kedrick Choate, Kelsi Choate, Legacie O'Neal, Riley O'Neal, Sadie Caughman and Emily Richey; one sister-in-law, Olta Mae Risenhoover; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Dovie Gardenhire and Little Omie Morgan and brothers, Hoyt Barnes and Thomas Morgan.

Active Pallbearers will be Archie Risenhoover, Kendall Marley, Shawnna Choate, Michelle O'Neal, Kimberly Dorr and Sasha Risenhoover. 

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Saturday and 2 - 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 5 - 8 pm Saturday . 

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Gina Mattingly, Jolie Whilhite, Sharon Philpot, Jennifer Rose, Susie Choate, Ozell Stowe, Dee Thornell and Elara Hospice and staff.
