Cremation for Jay Rutland, 75 of Gore, Oklahoma is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He was born on August 15, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to June (Atchison) Rutland and Dale Rutland and passed away on September 14, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Diane (Schwartz) Rutland on November 20, 1971 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Rutland was a truck driver. After he retired, he became a legend on Lake Tenkiller. He was very fond of the lake life, boating and rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Survivors are:
His wife, Diane, of the home;
Son, Jim, of Oklahoma City, OK;
Daughter, Kristi, of Little Rock, AR;
Granddaughter, Mariah, of Warner, OK;
Grandson, Kyle, of Ohio;
and many friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Rob and Joey, and his parents, June and Dale.
