Jean E. (Browning) Lasiter

October 21, 1934 — February 4, 2021

Funeral Service for Jean E. Lasiter, 86, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Jean was born on October 21, 1934 in Whiting, Kansas to Roma Browning and Harold Browning. She entered her heavenly home on February 4, 2021, with her family by her side, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was married to Sammy Lasiter on November 18,1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. After marrying Sam, she devoted her love to her family as she and Sam raised their six children. Jean was a retired seamstress for Riverside Furniture, a homemaker and a member of Living Hope Church. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest passion was pouring her love and kindness into her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and to everyone she met. Her smile brought a light to every room she entered.

Survivors are:

husband: Sammy of the home;

2 daughters: Marilyn Starr and Robert of Sallisaw, OK and Melinda Lasiter of Muldrow, OK;

4 sons: Harold Lasiter and Tina of Muldrow, OK, Steve Lasiter and Ronda of Muldrow, OK, Clayton Lasiter and Louise of Muldrow, OK and Sammy Lasiter, Jr. and Janet of Vian, OK;

13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Janet; sister, Eunice; and one brother, Harold Browning.

Active Pallbearers will be Aron Lasiter, Derek Lasiter, Kyle Lasiter, Jerad Lasiter, Nick Starr and Jesse Stonebarger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Lasiter, Dennis Lasiter, Jeff Harman, Brandon Coleman, Michael Lee, Chad Lasiter and Sammy Lasiter, III.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK.
