Jesse Rogers Harrison was born on May 3, 1963 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Jesse was the youngest of eight siblings and was preceded in death by parents, Jess and Edna (Coon) Harrison, and three older brothers, Taylor Harrison, Michael J. Harrison and Patrick P. Harrison.
Jesse is survived by four sisters, Patricia Kaseca of Muskogee, OK, Cecelia Harrison of Austin, TX, Charlotte Redbird of Muskogee, OK and Cherokee Screechowl of Everett, WA.and numerous other family members, nieces and nephews.
Jesse attended Seneca Indian Boarding School in his earlier years and later Tulsa Public Schools. He was a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma. His maternal relatives were from the Alligator Clan and Nuyaka Tribal Town.
Jesse had a wonderful sense of humor and was always joking around. As a child he was always playing pranks and tricks on his family members. He definitely earned his nickname “Messy Jesse”.
Jesse loved eating and dining with his family and friends, with Coney Island and Mexican food being his favorite. He worked at Casa Bonita Mexican Restaurant for many years, before it closed. He was also employed at an auto mechanic and car shop in Tulsa for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoyed working and repairing cars.
Other activities Jesse enjoyed was watching OU football, going to flea markets and yard sales, and of course, going to the casino. Jesse had a small collection of G.I. Joe dolls, which was one of his favorite childhood toys.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on May 8, 2024 at Sanders Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma with Rev. Paul D. Tecumseh of Springtown United Methodist Church officiating.
Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
