Jewel "Granny" Barfield

Funeral Service for Jewel "Granny" Barfield, 99 of Sallisaw, formerly of Elk City, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, Texas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on November 26, 1924 in Paden, Oklahoma to Mary Ann "Molly" (Newton) Bettis and John P. Bettis and passed away on September 6, 2024 in Vian, Oklahoma. Mrs. Barfield was a homemaker who loved arts and crafts, fishing and working in the yard. She was nominated for "Yard of the Year" in Elk City. She attended church faithfully.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Harry Roth and Susanne of Sallisaw, OK; one daughter-in-law, Audrey Roth of Akins community, OK; 10 grandchildren, Brenda, Mary Ann, Donna, Julie, Mike, Bo, Krystal, Donnie, Lisa and Rusty; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Roth and Charles Barfield; two daughters, Sharon Rhoden and Linda Hall; two sons, Garry and Michael Roth; her parents; two grandchildren, Regina and Marvin; and several brothers and sisters.

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
