Funeral Service for Jim Short, 62, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Dora Cemetery in Dora, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 17, 1960 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Kathy Colleen (Dunkin) Short and Carlos James Short and passed away on August 12, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was married to Robbie Short on August 16, 1980 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting in any form. He taught his boys to love the outdoors and spent as much time as he could teaching them how to hunt, fish, and enjoy all things of the mountain and woods. Jim was a well-known and well-loved plumber for over 44 years around the community who never hesitated to help.

Survivors are wife of 43 years, Robbie of the home; son, Bradley Short of Muldrow, OK; granddaughter, Jozalyn Short of Muldrow, OK; mother, Colleen Short of Fort Smith, AR; sister, Sherry Jones and Steve of Fort Smith, AR; two brothers, Steve Short and Cindy of Nicut, OK and Greg Short and Mary of Muldrow, OK; father-in-law, Robert Anderson of Blue Mouse, OK; brother-in-law, Truman Anderson and Karen of Dora, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Bryan Short; father, Carlos Short; and his mother-in-law, Leona Anderson.

Active Pallbearers will be Cody Hyde, Brandon Short, Avery Short, Beau Short, Chris Short, Chris Jones, Truman Anderson and Nick Anderson.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
