Cremation Service for Jim Shurley, 81, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on January 1, 1941 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Eula Victoria (Moody) Shurley and Arthur Shurley and passed away on March 20, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Edna Mae (Shaver) Shurley on August 2, 1980 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2014. He was a heavy equipment operator for AOG and a Jehovah’s Witness.
Survivors are:
2 Step-Sons, Kevin Sanders of Fort Smith, AR and Russell Sanders and Donna of Sallisaw, OK;
1 Step-Daughter, Julie Breed of Fort Smith, AR;
3 Grandchildren, Eric Sanders, Heather Cornelius and Braden Scott;
5 great-grandchildren;
2 Brothers, Arthur Shurley of California and Dubby Shurley and Ernestine of Kansas;
and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two sisters, Patty Bonifazi and Denny Hladky.
